On the importance of people and profits
The reality is that a professionally robust organisation must be about growth, which means profits essentially. The bigger reality, however, is the journey to build that growth and that is about our people for sure. This journey for us has been incredibly enjoyable, and a huge learning experience, because of our people. “We” are in the business of solving problems for our clients. As an organisation, we focus on this “We”! Taking a step back, we are truly blessed with extremely talented and committed folks joining hands to form this team.
On what makes thoucentric a great place to work
Answer is again our people. Besides the fact that we aim to be superlative in our core functional areas (which by the way, is a hygiene factor in Thoucentric), more important is that we are extremely grounded and basically good human beings. We treat each other as good problem-solving individuals rather than resources.
On the company’s evolution
We are a young organisation, just over three-and-a-half years. Practices and structures are in the works. We have decided not to have an appraisal system and have put together an introspection-based wizard whizkid framework – a concept based on a deep philosophy that only you can be the best judge of your performance. You are your only competition. Within this framework, the employee (whizkid) sets his own/her own goals and milestones to achieve those goals. The wizard and the introspection team (recently christened as the NEON team!) facilitates the goal journey for the whizkid with the aim of achieving those goals. End of the year, the employee herself decides the success of that journey.
On People philosophy
We have no hierarchies, no manager philosophy. We are known by what we ‘do’ and what we ‘know’ rather than our ‘designations’. We trust and support each other to do well for our clients and for ourselves. We bring our emotions to work! The culture is everywhere, on our walls, in our get-together(s), in our discussions; our values are core human values. For us, Thoucentric is an ‘Ethos’ that epitomises the essence of being a good human… living a life of purpose… being life itself! We breed the basic human values of trust, freedom, nimbleness, compassion, integrity, passion, persistence and conviction. We are an extension of ourselves together.

We want to be known as extremely committed, honest and talented team that can solve problems for our clients. In this era of gadgets, technology and e-communication, we want to be able to constantly remind ourselves and our clients that being a good human at heart and in action is and will always supersede any technology feat!
