Marking an improvement from its performance in the last financial year, Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts has witnessed a 76.54 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase in its net profit in the second quarter of the current financial year (Q2FY25). As per the standalone financial results, it has posted a net profit of Rs 19.65 crore in Q2FY25, an increase from Rs 11.13 crore in Q2FY24.
The revenue of the company also registered a growth as it increased to Rs 107.37 crore in Q2FY25, from Rs 90.46 crore in Q2FY24. On the half-yearly front, the revenue of the company surged from Rs 182.27 crore in the first half of the financial year 2023-24 (H1FY24) to Rs 202.07 crore in H1FY25. The net profit during the same period increased from Rs 24.34 crore to Rs 32.36 crore.
“In Q2 FY25, TAJGVK has reported a revenue growth of 19 per cent with a strong EBITDA improvement of 39 per cent and reported revenue growth of 11 per cent and EBITDA improvement of 23 per cent in H1FY25. With the completion of renovation in Taj Deccan and given the demand buoyancy in the upcoming quarters, the second half of the fiscal is well poised for double-digit revenue growth,” stated GVK Reddy, Chairman, TAJ GVK Hotels & Resorts.
On the earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) front, the company’s EBITDA went up from Rs 22.66 crore in Q2FY24 to Rs 31.67 crore in Q2FY25. The EBITDA, which was Rs 49.05 crore in H1FY24, went up to Rs 60.26 crore in H1FY25.
