IT-BPM industry body Nasscom has appointed SAP Labs India MD Sindhu Gangadharan as its new Chairperson. Gangadharan steps into the role following the appointment of her predecessor, Rajesh Nambiar, as the Nasscom President Designate.
As the first woman to lead SAP Labs India, Gangadharan brings a wealth of experience and a visionary approach to her new position at Nasscom. Her role will reportedly focus on advancing India’s technology sector by leveraging emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, strengthening the country’s engineering R&D capabilities, and positioning India as a global hub for digital talent.
In a statement, Sindhu Gangadharan, Chairperson, Nasscom said, “I am deeply honoured to assume the Office of the Chairperson at nasscom and excited to collaborate with some of the industry’s brightest minds to shape the future of India’s Techade.”
Gangadharan’s distinguished career includes her role as Chair of the Nasscom GCC Council, as well as board positions at Siemens India and Titan. She is also a member of the Steering Committee of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, where she has played a key role in fostering bilateral trade between India and Germany.
