Democratising Education

Motion Education is a self-funded premier coaching institute providing online and offline classroom, distance learning coaching for pre-engineering, pre-medical, foundation and various Olympiads. The institute currently has 51 centres across the nation and aims to expand and establish 100 centres across India by year-end.  

Hailing from a humble background, Nitin Vijay, the Co-founder and Managing Director of the edtech platform decided that his aim was to become a successful teacher. Powered by the will to teach, Vijay used to travel 60 km to teach a batch of students in Banaras during his first year of engineering. In his second year, students’ response to his teaching methods motivated him to set up his institute, Kota Point, in Varanasi for physics. 

Following a Dream 

Vijay got the job opportunity in two leading companies through college placement but his passion brought him back to Kota and he started teaching physics in one of the institutes. He continued there for six months before he launched his venture and named it Motion Education, which grew year on year to its current success. The foundation of the company was laid with the establishment of Motion IIT-JEE in Dec 2007.  

Vijay recalls that within two days of the launch, there was a shortage of seating space in the classroom. Thereafter, Motion IIT-JEE  grew successfully and reached its current avatar. The platform’s major business offering includes School Integrated Program (SIP), Franchise Centers, Classroom Program, Distance Learning Program (DLP).

The company’s motto is to provide quality teaching and pocket-friendly education to every household. Its latest project, MyBizKid, is a business leadership program that helps students of the age group 8-15 years become future leaders.
