Energy solutions player Chevron plans to establish Engineering and Innovation Excellence Centre (ENGINE) in Bengaluru, India. This will happen with an investment of USD 1 billion.
In a statement, Akshay Sahni, incoming Country Head, Chevron India, said, “Chevron ENGINE will create meaningful opportunities for local professionals to work on the incredible challenge of meeting the global energy demands of today and building the lower carbon energy system of tomorrow.”.
He added, “At Chevron ENGINE, we aim to create a collaborative and inclusive work environment where our talented workforce can partner across our global network to catalyse and accelerate technological innovation for the energy system.”
Chevron India will be looking to hire high-calibre professionals with specialised expertise to support initiatives across the company's operations, including engineering and digital services, with around 600 roles expected to be filled by the end of 2025, along with plans for additional positions in the future.
Globally, Chevron engages in the exploration, production and transportation of crude oil and natural gas, as well as the refining and distribution of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and additives.
