An app that could help bikers connect with others and share trails and routes, Trails of India, aims to be the platform for bikers in the country. Here you can check out the route for a trail and share a biker's diary or travelogue.
But too many apps just rely on customising a map and don't take the rest of the offerings far enough and this is the case for Trails of India. On the surface, the app, available free on both Android and iOS, looks very visually appealing but get into one of the items and you'll be disappointed at the text and map heavy content you'll find.
Here's hoping the app evolves, but meanwhile, you do have the experiences of others to benefit from.
Love For AllA physical dis- ability should be no bar to finding love. That's the premise behind Android app, Inclov, created specially to invite those with physical disabilities and health disorders to date and maybe even get married. As the name of the app implies though, the platform is inclusive and won't keep out anyone. Not trying to segregate those with disabilities, the app welcomes normally abled people too and even encourages them to meet with occasional activities. One can specify conditions like level of care needed so that such matters are not a surprise later. For example, if a person uses a wheelchair he or she can say so. Nice thought, though there are some login problems. The developers are working on further features including voice and video which will specifically benefit the visually impaired.
Remember You Have To... I know I really need an app like the Activity Reminder — free on Android for the ad supported version. It's not at all a good looking app but it sure is useful though I find it a shade suspicious that it should have a 5.0 rating.
Activity Reminder lets you set reminders for regular things you have to do. Every Friday go for your French lesson. Every hour, get up and walk around. Every evening, go work out. You just name the activity, set the time and date, select a reminder tone and that's it. It's got a truly crude interface with giant text and it could have been a really nice one if it had been beautifully designed. But it's also something you won't have to look at too often once you've set the reminders.
