Airtel Makes 5G Services Live in Lucknow, 14 Cities Now Have 5G Services
After the mega launch of its 5g services in 8 cities in October, Bharti Airtel announced the launch of 5G services in Lucknow. With Lucknow, Airtel 5G is now live in 14 cities in India. While the UP East Circle currently has two cities under the 5G cover, the telecom provider will be launching 5G in UP West also soon.
Talking about the launch, CEO, Bharti Airtel, Uttar Pradesh Sovan Mukherjee said, “Airtel customers can now experience ultrafast network and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up the entire city which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more.”
Airtel 5G Services are now available in 14 cities. These are Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Patna, Panipat, Nagpur, Tirumala, Siliguri and Lucknow.
Mukherjee informed that the current customers do not have to change their sim cards as Airtel 4G sim is already 5G enabled. Existing data plans will work on 5G until roll-out is complete in the city, as the company is rolling out services in a phased manner. The Airtel stores have been turned into Customer Experience zones where people can walk in and have a 5G experience.
The company has also associated with healthcare and manufacturing sectors in Lucknow to enable them to use the 5G services for better services.
