Sirius Digitech Limited, a joint venture between the Adani Group and Sirius International Holding, has announced the acquisition of Coredge.io Private Limited, a cloud platform company.
This move will enhance Sirius Digitech's ability to offer sovereign cloud services, empowering organisations to retain sensitive data within their national borders while leveraging cutting-edge innovations.
Coredge.io is known for its solution stack for sovereign data centres, which includes services ranging from bare metal servers to Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) built on open-source technologies. The company's offerings are designed to support Machine Learning as a Service (MLaaS), providing secure and scalable cloud solutions tailored for government and enterprise clients.
The acquisition is set to position Sirius Digitech at the forefront of the burgeoning global sovereign cloud market, which is valued at trillions of dollars.
“As nations increasingly prioritise data security, it is more important than ever that organisations have the option to retain their data within national borders rather than relying solely on the public cloud. Sovereign Data Centres become extremely important for protecting sensitive information and maintaining national security, given the exponential growth in artificial intelligence-driven demand for computation and sovereign data stack,” said Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Group.
Sirius Digitech is a joint venture between Adani Enterprises Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Adani Global Limited, and Sirius International Holding Limited, a subsidiary of International Holding Company (IHC).
