The Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) in collaboration with the US Consulate has launched the first-ever US-India Cyber Security initiative to develop a cutting-edge IT connection between the two countries.
This initiative is developed to unite global cybersecurity experts and to create jobs across the cybersecurity sector worldwide. The Centre will also play an important role in the proactive approach and would collaborate with research institutions, industry and civil society to enhance cyber defenses and infrastructure and protect sensitive information.
In a statement, US Consul General Mike Hankey said cybersecurity is the biggest challenge for both US and India, so the focus is to minimise the cyber threats and ensure the digital revolution promotes global prosperity and stability.
He spoke about the unique transformation in the space of artificial intelligence (AI), advanced telecommunications, critical emerging technologies, bioengineering and energy and underlined this initiative demonstrates the close partnership between India and US.
He stressed these advancements also offer global economic and social benefits, ensuring cybersecurity in the growing digital domain which continues to remain a vital concern.
Hankey shared that the US-India Cyber Security Initiative reflects both countries' shared vision for a world that is open, secure and prosperous.
