BW Security World Honours Exceptional Contributions To Security

The BW Security World Conclave & Excellence Awards 2023, held on September 1-2 at The Imperial, New Delhi, was an exceptional event that paid tribute to and recognised exceptional achievements in the field of security. This prestigious awards ceremony brought together experts, professionals, and organisations from across the globe who have exhibited unparalleled dedication to ensuring safety and security in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

The Process and Methodology 

More than 150 nominations were received, and out of these, 46 unique nominations were shortlisted for presentation to the esteemed jury. The final winners were selected by the jury members, with Shekhar Dutt, SM, IAS (Retd), Former Governor of Chhattisgarh, serving as the Jury Chair. Each jury member employed an independent scoring system.

Participants in the BW Security World Conclave & Excellence Awards 2023 underwent rigorous evaluation based on comprehensive parameters. Their performance and contributions were assessed considering several crucial factors, including the new initiatives they had undertaken within the last five years. Additionally, the judges examined the effective implementation of these innovative ideas and their tangible impact on the security industry. Key contributions and any awards previously received by the participants were also taken into account. Moreover, the challenges faced by both individuals and organisations during the implementation of their security projects were meticulously scrutinised, providing a comprehensive assessment of their achievements in the security domain.

The Winners 

The Excellence awards recognised organisations and projects that demonstrated a tech-savvy approach to security. Soteria and ASSA ABLOY INDIA PVT. LTD. received the Excellence Award for Tech-savvy Security Project. Wipro was honoured with the Business Risk Detection Achievement Award for its outstanding contributions to risk management. Kloudle emerged as the Security Startup of the Year, highlighting its innovative solutions in the security sector.

The Cybersecurity Company of the Year category acknowledged Protectt.ai and Arete-IR LLP for their exceptional contributions to cybersecurity. ASSA ABLOY INDIA PVT. LTD. was awarded Electronic Security Solutions of the Year, recognising its innovative security solutions. AppProtectt received the Innovative Security Product of the Year award, while CP Plus received a Special Recognition in the same category.

IIRIS Consulting was named the Risk Management Company of the Year, and Netrika Consulting India Pvt. Ltd. received the Security Consulting Company of the Year award. MyGate (Vivish Technologies Private Ltd) was honoured as the Security Software Company of the Year, and INNOVISION LIMITED received the Security Training Company of the Year award.

The Innovation & Leadership Award in Information Security was presented to Manish Mimani, Founder-CEO of Protectt.ai, for his exceptional leadership and contributions to information security. Capt. R. John Robert, Head of Corporate Security at VFS Global, was awarded the Global Security Achievement Award, recognising his outstanding achievements in the security field.

Lt. Col. Randeep Hundal, MD of INNOVISION LTD, received the Rising Star in Security Industry award, highlighting his promising career in security. Dimple Santwan, CISO of Saraswat Bank, was named Security Woman of the Year, while Col. Kanwal Kishore, SM, Head of Security at Jio World Centre, was recognised as Security Man of the Year. Aditya Khemka, MD of CP Plus, also received a Special Recognition in the Security Man of the Year category.

Godrej Security Solutions and Peregrine Guarding Pvt Ltd were named Security Company of the Year for their exceptional services in the security sector. Rajeev Sharma, CEO of G4S Corporate Services (India) Pvt Ltd., received the CEO of the Year award for his leadership in the security industry. Lastly, Maj. Manjit Rajain, Founder and Global Chairman of Tenon Group of Co., was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his remarkable contributions to the security sector.
