Uber Reintroduces Uber Black In India

Uber has declared the return of its upscale ‘Uber Black’ category in India, beginning with Mumbai next week. This move is part of the company's strategy to cater to the growing demand for premium on-demand mobility services in the country, offering a high-end experience to Indian customers.

The reintroduction of ‘Uber Black’ in India shows a shift toward premium preferences among riders, according to Uber’s official release. Designed to elevate the ride experience, Uber Black offers a personalised journey with features such as quiet mode, temperature control and assistance with luggage. Riders will also benefit from in-car amenities and tailored on-trip preferences, ensuring consistently high standards of comfort and service.

Prabhjeet Singh, President of Uber India and South Asia, expressed excitement over the comeback, stating, “We are thrilled to bring Uber Black back in an all-new avatar to meet the evolving aspirations of Indian customers and introduce the business class of back seats on Indian roads.” Singh noted that Uber aims to serve a diverse range of customers, from those opting for affordable two-wheeler or three-wheeler rides to those seeking a well-appointed, luxurious experience in premium vehicles.

Uber Black's return comes at a time when India’s premium mobility market is witnessing increased demand.
