Own Boss was initially established by Christopher Bluga and Frank Lacaria. Christopher Bluga, who is 27 years old, was born and raised in Novi, Michigan. After receiving his degree in Automotive Management from Ferris State University, he went straight back to work remodelling kitchens and bathrooms. Frank Lacaria is 24 years old and is from the city of Livonia in Michigan. After graduating from high school, he established his own business. His company cuts concrete.
In November of 2020, Frank Lacarias and his partner Christopher Bluga established Own Boss Supply Co. in the basement of his parents' home. Because of Covid-19, the year 2020 was a difficult one for a lot of people. After Covid-19 caused damage to their company, Chris and Frank's ambitions shifted significantly. Frank Lacaria had the intention of creating an enterprise that would completely transform his life. He had high hopes that Trucks would change people's lives. Frank made a phone call to his friend Chris, whom he had made acquaintance with in the automotive sector, and asked Chris if he would be interested in beginning a business with him.
Talking about how they have helped change people’s lives, the team shares, “Every set-up that is given away changes the winners' lives. We have given away 13 sets, and on average, each set is worth USD 250,000. Since we started this company, we've given away more than USD 3 million. All of our thirteen winners have been given chances to make their lives better. We gave them everything they needed to start their own business. We give them chances to work for themselves and enjoy the freedom that comes with that. Our business's goal is to change as many people's lives as possible, whether that's by giving them a truck, trailer, or piece of equipment or by giving them ideas through our social media channels and entrepreneurial-themed clothing line.”
They started Own Boss Supply Company by working 18-hour days in the basement of Frank's parents' home. They desired to increase the opportunities available to someone else. Both of these gentlemen are business owners, and as a result, they established a company to assist others in starting their own companies.
