Italian luxury car maker Maserati has opened its first dealership in Bengaluru.
After inaugurating the new dealership Jubilant AutoWorks for Maserati which will cater to South India, the company India Head Bojan Jankulovski said: "We believe that the southern market and Bengaluru especially, is embedded in a culture that understands and appreciates luxury, thus holding immense potential for a brand like ours. The southern part of India has witnessed a strong growth in luxury car sales, which makes it clear that having a representation in the area is now a necessity for Maserati".
It is the company's second dealership in India following the official opening of its New Delhi dealership in September. The next dealership will be opened in Mumbai.
The Bengaluru showroom is in line with Maserati global standards. The showroom will display six cars of the company and will offer sales and servicing for Maserati's full range of two-door and four-door luxury and sports cars in South India.
"India has big demand for our luxury products. That is why we have announced our re-entry into the Indian market in synergy with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles India (FCAI) earlier this year," he added.
The showroom showcases a collection of Maserati models: the Trident brand's flagship - the Quattroporte, its latest E-segment sedan - the Ghibli, as well as the sports coupe and cabriolet - the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio. Their prices range from Rs 1.17 crore to Rs 2.2 crore. These cars will have a minimum three months waiting period.
The showroom will also have a high class visitor lounge, which introduces clients to the Maserati's history and houses a special section for exclusive Maserati merchandising items as well as a configurator area where clients can customize their new vehicle, according to a company statement.
