Infosys has reduced its quarterly performance bonus for employees in the January-March quarter. According to a media report, the average bonus payout has dropped to 60 per cent for the final quarter of fiscal year 2024.
This is a significant decline from the previous quarters, where the bonus payouts were 73 per cent for October-December, 80 per cent for July-September and 75 per cent for April-June. The bonus adjustments affect employees at band six and below, excluding those at the entry level, with payouts ranging from 55 per cent to 85 per cent.
Employees at levels PL 4, PL 5, and PL 6 will receive average payouts of 70 per cent, 65 per cent, and 57 per cent, respectively. Only in exceptional cases has Infosys awarded bonuses in the higher range of 75 per cent to 85 per cent.
The final bonus amounts were communicated to employees through individual emails, with payments scheduled to be made alongside the May salary.
