Financial literacy is a crucial aspect of personal development, especially for college students and early graduates who are just starting to navigate the complexities of managing their finances. Unfortunately, many young people in India struggle with financial problems such as debt, lack of access to credit, and limited investment options.
Samwaad was founded by BITS Pilani students Aryan Trivedi and Ankit Anand in 2020 which started just as an Instagram page for college students, has now garnered over 23K followers and a monthly reach of over 200K people.
It is now evolving into a financial platform with a mission to solve the personal financial problems faced by college students and early graduates.
One of the common financial problems faced by college students and early graduates is managing their finances, hence making it difficult for them to manage a limited budget throughout the month. They often run out of money before the month-end because of how easy UPI has made spending the money.
Finzie is an app by Samwaad that helps college students with their finances, upskilling them by making them aware of personal finance management and providing an SNBL based model to save money regularly and get rewarded for the same
In the coming years, Samwaad aims to bring its services to more young people across India and beyond, helping even more people take control of their finances and achieve their financial goals. Through its innovative approach to personal finance, Samwaad is poised to make a significant impact on the finance ecosystem in India.

In conclusion, Samwaad is more than just a Media Body – it's a movement led by BITS Pilani undergraduates to change the finance ecosystem in India and empower young people to take control of their finances.
Currently the team consists of 9 students, Ankit Anand, cofounder, handles and leads the organisation along with the product.
Biswajit Bengani, is leading the Business and Finance division. Harsh Singla who joined as an intern is now creating and testing out various business models for the organisation.
Dhruva Pai Angle and Lacchika handles the branding operations, Chitransh Anand, Rhythm Bansal and Shubham Shah are the core tech team at Samwaad. The entire organization is being mentored by Aryan Trivedi.
By addressing the common financial problems faced by college students and early graduates, Samwaad is making a real difference in the lives of young people and setting a positive example for other financial institutions to follow.
