At Day 2 of the BW Hotelier Indian Hospitality Awards & Summit 2017, the second presentation was made by BW Hotelier Awards sponsor N. S. Satish, National Head, Sales and Marketing, Haier Appliances (India).
Satish spoke about how Haier as a brand has been ranked as World's No.1 as per the Euromonitor Report 2016 for eight consecutive years in terms of major appliances.
He also showcased a presentation which talked about, 'Haier was founded 1984 in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China and it manufactures home appliances in over 15,100 different specifications under 96 categories. The Haier Group has obtained 6,189 patented technology certificates and 589 software intellectual property rights. And the in terms of turnover in 2015, Haier was able to touch a global turnover of $32.8 Billion.'
He introduced all the six brands under Haier Group and the brand structure, each tailored to specific markets, regions and diverse consumer needs as namely- GE Appliance Company from the US; Fishers & Paykel: A top global brand for kitchen appliances from NZ; Aqua: A high-end white goods brand for excellent value; Casarte: Home appliances with artistic designs for upscale international markets; Leader: No.1 brand for Internet-era with customized home appliances; Gooday BB: A Internet-based platform that incorporates online and offline networks and serves the wider business community. Haier has 21 industrial parks.
He also mentioned briefly about 66 trading companies, 143330 sales outlets and the employment Haier is able to generate for over 80,000 around the world and the product range in over 15,100 models in 96 categories and how they have completed 12 successful years in India.
He concluded with mentioning, "We have launched a wide range of innovative products in all major categories: - Refrigerators, Home Air Conditioners & Commercial Air Conditioners, Washing Machines, Panels (LED TVs), Water Heaters, Commercial Refrigerators, Wine Cellars and Microwave Ovens."
