AirAsia India has jumped into the Indian market low-fare competition, offering domestic one-way Christmas and New Year deals for as low as Rs 1,269 to destinations such as Goa, Kochi, Vizag, Guwahati and Imphal.
No-frills carrier GoAir earlier introduced a one-way fare of Rs 691 in its Christmas sales promotion for the travel period from January 1 to September 30, 2016.
AirAsia India said travellers can buy its special discounted tickets between January and June.
Travellers can also fly to Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok from India on AirAsia’s Group network, AirAsia Berhad, Thai AirAsia, AirAsia X with one-way fares of Rs 2,999.
The bookings will begin from January 3 for the travel period from 10 January to 30 June, 2016.
Jet Airways is also promising cheap airfares on its three booking platforms – jetairways.com, mobile site and the Jet Airways app.
As part of its "Best Price Promise" initiative, the airline will offer low fares on its website in India compared with other online travel portals.
