Abhi Shetty: A Name Which Shines Bright Around The Hospitality Industry

There are many individuals who have made their mark in the vast hospitality industry globally, but one name needs a special mention as he has done exceedingly well in this sector in not one, but two countries namely India and UAE, he is Abhi Shetty. This rising entrepreneur has struck the hospitality industry in the right manner, having established his presence in Dubai and Manipal. Taking the nightlife experience to the next level through his brand 'Barrels', he has done what many have been unable to do, that is bringing back nightlife in vogue again after the prolonged shutdown that was brought owing to the global pandemic.

He is presently in charge of two outlets which have been a runaway success since their inception. This mechanical engineer started his entrepreneurial journey in 2019, having worked in several multinational companies before setting foot into the hospitality industry to make his mark as an entrepreneur. He says that though his brand is largely successful today, it had its ups and downs, especially during the global pandemic when the hospitality industry took a big hit. However, owing to Abhi's constant endeavors in resurrecting his business, the recovery was quick enough and the business started generating good figures soon after.

Owing to its success in Dubai, the second outlet was established in Manipal in 2021 – “Barrels India Club” which is the only state of art club in the neighborhood doing extremely well in the nightlife sector. He is amongst those entrepreneurs who like to be low profile, the reason you won't find his name in any news articles, as he is extremely shy in publicizing himself. His 'Barrels Dubai' in fact won the best sports bar award in 2019, and was even featured in Timeout Dubai. The brand is also featured on expatnights.com, as it has become a night haven for visitors of the country.
