BW | Accelerate announced its second batch of 20 startups under its three month to 14 week mentoring and entrepreneurial support programme on Tuesday (24 November). Selected enterprises range from healthcare solutions to bike rental services.
"Our effort is to make India the hub for startups and enable founders to create world-class products and build substantial value for themselves and stake holders at large," said Ashu Agarwal, Director, BW | Accelerate.
The current batch has taken in entrepreneurial teams based in the Delhi-NCR region and focuses on creating an intensive programme based on knowledge, intelligence and market access. The chosen teams are set to undergo specific and tailored interactions with successful entrepreneurs through mentoring sessions with access to over 300 founders, CEOs and CXOs.
Expressing his optimism about the general startup scenario in the country, Agarwal said, "This is the time of startups. India of 2015 is among the world's largest startup economies, today it is only apt to help propel these startups to new heights."
He further stated that the programme would focus on making make available all relevant resources and infrastructural needs for start-ups within the vicinity of operations to deliver cutting edge solutions and build large businesses.
In the upcoming moths, Accelerate pans to kick off its flagship Accelerate | Entrepreneur programme in other cities as well.
