The odd-even scheme of the Aam Aadmi Party government to curb pollution got a thumbs up from Nobel laureate Amartya Sen.“I salute odd even, but important to think of the problem before it arises,” said Sen. The odd-even car rationing experiment was started on January 1 as one of the first measures to curb the high level of air pollution in Delhi. Over the last five days, a total of 1,938 drivers were prosecuted and fined Rs 2,000 each for violating the rule by traffic police.
