Xiaomi has upgraded their affordable Redmi smartphones series in India with the launch of three new smartphones- Redmi 6, Redmi 6 Pro, and Redmi 6A. All three handsets run on MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo, which Xiaomi promised to upgrade to MIUI 10 very soon.
Redmi 6 Series Price and Availability
Redmi 6 price in India starts from Rs 7,999 for 32GB storage variant and Rs 9,499 for 64GB variant. The cheaper Redmi 6A price starts from Rs 5,999 for 16GB storage option and Rs 6,999 for 32GB variant. However, the Chinese handset maker mentioned that prices of Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A could be increased due after two months due to depreciation of Indian currency against US Dollar.
Talking about Redmi 6 Pro, it starts from Rs 10,999 for 32GB storage option and Rs 12,999 for 64GB storage model. Buyers purchasing Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro using HDFC Bank debit & credit card will get an instant discount of Rs 500, only during the first flash sale.
Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro will be available via Amazon, Mi.com and coming soon to offline stores, with first sale commencing from 19 September (12 Noon) for Redmi 6A and 11 September (12 Noon) for Redmi 6 Pro. On the other hand, Redmi 6 will be available via Walmart-owned Flipkart and Mi.com, with first sale on 10 September.
