Vivo has launched their flagship smartphone Vivo X21 with in-display fingerprint sensor in India today (29 May). The major highlights of the new handset are Android 8.1 Oreo, 6.28-inches display with 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, dual rear cameras, 12-MP front camera, 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 660.
Though Vivo’s in-display fingerprint sensor is not the only surprising thing; Vivo X21 price in India is Rs 35,990, which is higher than the recently launched OnePlus 6 and Honor 10.
In China, the company launched X21 and X21 UD where the former doesn’t have fingerprint sensor embedded into the display and the latter have. In India, the company launched X21 UD with the in-display fingerprint sensor but named it X21.
Vivo X21 will be a Flipkart exclusive in India and will go on sale from today (29 May). It will be available in Black colour and a Golden colour variant will arrive later. Launch offers include extra 5 percent cashback on SBI credit cards, extra 5 percent off on Axis Bank Buzz credit card, No cost EMIs from Rs 3,000 per month.
Vivo X21 Specifications
Vivo X21 runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. It has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB through a MicroSD card.
Vivo X21 has a 6.28-inch FHD+ (2280x1080) super AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio and an iPhone-X like notch at the top. It sports a vertically aligned dual camera setup at the rear which has 12-megapixel+5-megapixel sensors with dual Pixel PDAF and LED flash. On the front is a 12-megapixel selfie-snapper with f/2.0 aperture.
The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 3,200mAh battery. Along with the in-display fingerprint sensor, the phone also comes with face unlock feature.
Connectivity options include- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, Micro USB 2.0, OTG support, 3.5mm headphone-jack, and Location. It measures 154.45 x 74.78 x 7.37mm and weighs 156.2 grams.
Google recently released Android P Beta for selected handsets and Vivo X21 is one of them. This means that Vivo X21 users will be able to use the latest Android version.
