Vivo Nex With Motorized Selfie Camera Launched In India: Price, Specifications

Vivo Nex, an all-screen phone without a notch and minimal bezels has been launched in India today. In order to minimize bezels, Vivo has opted for motorized selfie camera that pops out whenever you want to click a selfie. 

Vivo Nex features a 6.59-inches display with 91.24 percent screen-to-body ratio. The handset offers a revolutionary design with high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, dual rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor and Android 8.1 Oreo.

Vivo has also ditched the traditional earpiece and instead uses Screen SoundCasting technology and turns the display into a speaker. So, after innovating the earpiece and front camera design, Vivo has achieved ultra-slim bezels.   

Vivo Nex Price in India

Vivo Nex price in India has been set at Rs 44,990 and will be an Amazon exclusive. It is available for pre-orders starting today and will go on sale from 21 July.

Amazon will offer an additional discount of Rs 4,000 on exchange. HDFC Bank debit and credit card holders will get some cashback of Rs on the purchase of Vivo Nex. It will be available in black colour only.

In China, the handset was launched last month in two variants Nex S and Nex A. It was earlier revealed on Amazon that only Vivo Nex S variant will make entry to the Indian market and will be called as 'Vivo Nex'.

Vivo Nex Specifications

Vivo Nex runs on FuntouchOS based on Android 8.1 Oreo and powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with 8GB RAM and Adreno 630 GPU. It has 128GB of internal storage and there is no MicroSD card slot so memory can’t be expanded.

The all-screen Vivo Nex features a 6.59-inches full HD+ (2316x1080) super AMOLED Ultra Fullview display with 19.3:9 aspect ratio and 91.24 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Talking about the camera, the new Vivo mobile sports a dual rear camera setup at rear which includes 12-megapixels+5-megapixels sensors with AI scene recognition, 4-axis OIS, HDR, and dual LED flash.On the front, there is a motorized 8-megapixel selfie camera that pops out from top whenever you’ll need to click selfies. 

The handset doesn't have face unlock feature like Oppo Find X, which also has a motorized camera slider. Vivo Nex comes with 3rd gen in-display fingerprint sensor with which it can be unlocked at much faster pace with more accuracy.

The massive Vivo Nex is backed by a huge 4,000mAh battery with fast charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Vivo Nex measures 162 x 77 x 7.98mm and weighs 199 grams.
