David Beckham! Yes, you read it right. The soccer legend and a famous fashion icon has conquered Tudor’s new brand ambassadorship. Tudor is a Swiss manufacturer of high-quality wristwatches based in Geneva.
This modish man has lately been famous for his attempts and aims outside the soccer field, which includes his modelling stints as well. Undeniably, from his impeccable and flawless style to his exciting and edgy lifestyle, David absolutely seemed like a perfect fit for this Swiss watchmaking relatively new brand.
This brand first made its debut in 1926, after “The Tudor” was already registered by the founder of Rolex’s founder Hans Wilsdorf, as a brand. Two decades later, Wilsdorf founded Montres Tudor SA, which produces watches that reflect the traditional philosophy of Rolex while keeping the price point at an affordable level. Each watch reflects authentic elegance and charm, worn by style mavens and adventurers alike, along with today’s representative models including the Black Bay, Pelagos and Style. Since 2015, Tudor has been introducing mechanical manufacture movements.
Beckham himself adores the brand and shares that, “as an Englishman”, one really appreciates “a nice suit and a nice watch”, and the way they complement each other.
"I was attracted to Tudor by the attention to detail I could see in their watches," Beckham said in a statement. "I then learned about the history of the brand. One of adventure, pioneer diving, and daring expeditions. I was instantly hooked."
Do you know? Beckham is also the face of Tudor’s campaign, “Born to Dare”, which shows snippets of Beckham’s soccer career and concludes that while some are “born to follow”, others are “born to dare”.
