Telegram has made its ‘reactions’ available for all users including those previously accessible to premium users. The messaging platform is also debuting emoji statuses.
To make the new emoji reactions available to the users on Telegram, the platform has redone its reaction panel. It now expands to show all the emojis the users can choose from and displays the frequently used emojis at the top.
Premium users can now pick reactions from an infinite selection of custom emoji. They can also attach up to three reactions per message.
Exclusive to premium users, Telegram has also introduced 'emoji status' that will allow them to an animated emoji status which can be displayed next to their name – to quickly let everyone know how they are feeling or what they are doing.
Users can set one of seven standard statuses that change their color to match different Telegram themes – or choose from an infinite number of custom emoji. Popular suggestions for working, sleeping, traveling and more will be shown at the top.
Telegram has also debuted unique link format for all usernames. All usernames on the platform now have a new unique link format – username.t.me – for those who want to emphasise their name (or have trouble finding the / key).
