The TechnoXian World Cup 2024 will emphasise innovation, technology and the skills of young robotics athletes. This event has established itself as a vital venue for prospective robotics enthusiasts in India and around the world. TechnoXian, which draws participation from over 46 nations, including Azerbaijan, Brazil, Germany, South Korea and the United States, has established itself as a major global event in the robotics industry.
The four day tournament will feature a range of competitions such as Robo Soccer, Drone Racing, Sumo Bot and more. Participants will compete for awards worth Rs 5 million. The event is intended to push the boundaries of what is possible in robotics and automation, allowing participants to interact with technology and contribute to worldwide discussions about the future of these subjects.
AICRA President Rajkumar Sharma emphasised the significance of this event, saying, "The TechnoXian World Robotics Championship is more than just a tournament; it's a global celebration of innovation in robotics and automation. Our goal is to build a platform where young innovators can display their skills, collaborate with peers from all around the world, and learn from industry experts." He also emphasised the event's congruence with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aim of supporting innovation and economic progress through technology, noting that the championship contributes to the Skill India mission by developing a competent workforce for the future.
The robotics market in India is expanding rapidly; by 2024, it is expected to generate over USD 531 million in sales. It is anticipated that service robotics will drive this expansion, with a market value of about USD 295.60 million anticipated in the same year. It is also projected that the market would increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.18 per cent between 2024 and 2028, with a potential market size of USD 841 million by that time. The growing use of robotics in a variety of areas, such as the manufacturing, healthcare and service sectors, is what is fuelling this expansion.
