India's second-largest IT services player Infosys has bagged the renewal deal of its strategic partnership with Posti, the Finnish Postal Service, for another seven years. Financial details of the deal remain undisclosed.
The continued collaboration, which spans Posti's operations in Finland, Sweden, and the Baltics, will look to further enhance the postal giant's customer experience, operational efficiency, and IT systems.
Infosys will leverage its AI platform, Topaz, incorporating generative AI technologies to drive operational improvements and boost service quality for Posti. Additionally, the Indian tech major will deploy its cloud solution, Cobalt, alongside the Live Enterprise Application Management Platform (LEAP) to provide advanced application management services.
Over the past five years, Infosys has played a pivotal role in improving Posti's IT resilience, minimising system outages, and modernizing the company's consumer-facing applications. The partnership has also focused on enhancing cybersecurity and replacing outdated systems and processes. This extension marks a deeper commitment by Infosys to further its role in transforming Posti's digital capabilities.
“We are pleased to announce the renewal of our collaboration with Infosys for another seven years. By harnessing the power of AI through Infosys Topaz and cloud capabilities through Infosys Cobalt, we aim to create a more efficient and customer centric organization. The collaboration with Infosys will accelerate our digital transformation journey and help us deliver exceptional services, optimize our operations, and strengthen our position as a leading delivery and logistics provider,” said Petteri Naulapää, CIO & SVP, ICT and digitalization, Posti Group.
The renewal comes amid a broader global trend of major IT service contract renewals, with nearly 700 contracts worth USD 26 billion expected to be renewed from August to December.
