Sony India launches Sony Xperia XZ2 today (25 July) in Indian market. The handset is world’s First 4K HDR movie recording capable Smartphone with Enabled with the latest ARCore and Google lens feature.
Along with 4K video recording, the key highlights of the handset are Dynamic Vibration System for ultimate entertainment and Full HD 960fps Super Slow Motion Video Recording. Xperia XZ2 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 processor which is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The launch price of the handset is set at Rs. 72,990 in Liquid Black colour. Xperia XZ2 will be available by 1st August on selected stores of Sony Centre and select Mobile stores in India.

Sony Xperia XZ2 run on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box and powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 processor which is coupled with 4GB RAM. The handset has an internal storage of 64GB which is expandable up to 400GB through a MicroSD card.
The smartphone sports triple image sensing in single rear camera of 19-megapixel with a 1/2.3” Exmor RS for mobile memory stacked sensor which has 5x faster image scanning for sharper motion images. This camera records 960 frames per second for super slow motion playback and has 3D scanning with 3D creator. For the selfie, the smartphone is equipped with 5-megapixel camera on front with 23mm wide angle f/2.2 lens.
Sony Xperia XZ2 features a 5.7-inch FHD+ (2160x1080) Triluminos HDR display with 18:9 ratios and a layer of protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The handset measures 153 x 72 x 11.1 mm and weighs 198g. For the security purpose, there is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor with which the phone can be unlocked quickly.
The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 3,180mAh battery which also supports wireless charging and comes with Qnovo Adaptive quick Charging technology. The handset features battery care which adjusts the charging current to avoid damage and maximise its lifespan. Connectivity options are- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, NFC, USB Type-C 3.1, and Location.
