As Xiaomi has taken the sub-15k category smartphone market in India by storm, the market’s elder player Samsung is not going to back off. To strengthen its position in the market, Samsung has launched the new affordable Galaxy J4, which is their fifth smartphone launch in past ten days after Galaxy A6, A6+, J6, and J8.
Samsung Galaxy J4 price in India starts from Rs 9,990 for 2GBRAM and Rs 11,990 for 3GB RAM variant. At this price point, the new smartphone will face competition with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Honor 7C or Realme 1.

The new handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and powered by a 1.4GHz Exynos 7570 quad-core processor. The handset comes in two RAM+Storage options of 2GB+16GB and 3GB+32GB, the storage on both variants is expandable up to 256GB through a MicroSD card.
Talking about the display, this phone features a 5.5-inch HD (1280x720) Super AMOLED display with 16:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. On the front is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and also a LED flash for clicking selfies in low-light conditions.
The dual-SIM Galaxy J4 is backed by a 3,000mAh battery which could deliver up to 20 hours of talk-time. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, Micro-USB 2.0, 3.5mm headphone-jack, Location. The new handset is available in black, blue and gold body colours.
It comes with a feature called Advanced Memory Management which saves memory space by automatically directing images and videos from social media apps to MicroSD card. This feature also deletes duplicate images received from Messenger or WhatsApp.
The new phone also comes with features like Adaptive Wi-Fi, App Pair, and Samsung Mall.
