At the Women Economic Forum event, different panelists talked about the power of media like how media is helping businesses in their growth and what will be the future of it.
First on the dias to speak was, Sudhir Mishra (Advocate, Supreme Court of India and Founder & Managing Partner of Trust Legal, Advocates & Consultants, India) said, "I want to stress on the fact that when you fail, you go to the women of the house. For all the problems world you cannot blame others around you, glacier melting, terrorism and or everything else. So, I would say, let's keep women at the helm of everything as they are more equipped to solve universal problems."
Second on the stage Sangeeta Waldron (Founder of Serendipity PR & Media); Contributing Editor, Justmeans.com, UK) said, "I have been working in the media for 20 years, now I can say that the media has played a big role in empowering the women, by reporting women's issues, making forums and influencing the other three pillars of the society in terms of creating consensus, pushing legislations and raising voices. Well, in terms of business also, it's time that we bring women to better economic platforms as we all know that women are good our creating conversations and keeping long-term relationships."
Next in line was Tonya Fitzpatrick (CEO, World Footprints Media, US) said, "I believe that we have worked very hard in many different domains, to make the world a better place to live in. Thinking Global and acting local is the mantra. If you see, more or less the problems and solutions are more or less that same in the world- women's safety, resource conservation, battling terrorism and poverty etc. I wish people realise the power of meaningful travel around the world too. To support the common causes of humanity, it's imperative that we connect, meet people and socialise with others of distinct origin. Today, we have the wonderful opportunity of connecting with remarkable people of the world and know about them through the media. We live in great times! I am not saying that travel can prevent bigotry but if people understand each other, we may even become friends."
With these words, another speaker came on the stage to enlighten us about the elements of happiness we experience with women. He was Dr Markus Spieker (Chief of Bureau ARD - First German Television South Asia Studio, India) said, "I am glad to come to Asia, as there is a lot of joy. Women are the biggest element of surprise and that of change. Most of my stories 80% of my stories are on women. They are very inspiring stories from India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and neighbouring countries."

In 1992, I opened the first institute for media in Syria and it was supported by a lot of people. Currently, we have 20 institutes on line. Women can bring a big change with their mind and smartness."
