At a media round table in Mumbai on Tuesday, aha's promoter, Allu Aravind, promoter and CEO Ajit Thakur announced the OTT platform’s expansion plans for the next three years.
The platform has committed to infuse an investment of over Rs 1000 crore into consolidation of their current languages and expansion to new languages and genres.
Launched in 2020, aha today boasts of over 2,000 hours of content including more than 350 hours of exclusive and original content and 32 million app downloads.
Giving details about the investment, Allu Aravind, promoter at aha said, “I am happy to say that over the next three years, we have a solid plan of growth with expansion into new languages and genres; and to that end, we are committed to infusing Rs 1000 crore.”
aha is known for marquee shows such as Unstoppable with NBK and Telugu Indian Idol.
With its launch in Telugu and Tamil, aha’s network has presence across US, UK and Australia as well as Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Singapore.
