Oppo F9 Pro With V-shaped Notch Display Launched In India; Gets a Price Tag Of Rs 23,990

Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has launched their new mid-range smartphone Oppo F9 Pro in India. The major highlights of the new handset include a 6.3-inch display with V-shaped notch, dual rear cameras, 25-MP selfie snapper, 6GB RAM and 3,500mAh battery with VOOC fast charging.

Oppo F9 Pro price in India is Rs 23,990, it will be available via Flipkart, Amazon and offline channels across India, with sale commencing on August 31 onwards. Interested buyers can pre-order the handset from August 21 via Flipkart and Oppo stores. 

Launch offers include One time screen replacement, 3.2 TB 4G data from Jio with benefits upto Rs 4,900, and 10 percent cashback from ICICI Bank on credit card transactions.

F9 Pro comes in three gradient colour options- Twilight Blue, Sunrise Red, and Starry Purple.

Oppo F9 Pro Specifications

Oppo F9 Pro runs on ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It is powered by Helio P60 processor coupled with Mali G72 MP3 GPU and 6GB of RAM. The handset has 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB through a dedicated MicroSD card slot.

The handset’s USP is its V-shaped notch what Oppo calls a waterdrop display. The new notch design is much different than the other Android handsets’ notch which resembles iPhone X.

Oppo F9 Pro features a 6.3-inch full HD+ (2360x1080) TFT LCD display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 6. It sports a dual rear camera module which includes 16-MP+2-MP sensors with AI scene recognition and LED flash. The notch at the front houses a 25-MP selfie camera with HDR.

Oppo is also touting VOOC fast charging for F9 Pro’s 3,500mAh battery which is said to offer 2 hours of usage in just 5 minutes of charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm headphone jack, OTG, Micro USB, and GPS. Oppo F9 Pro measures 156.7 x 74 x 7.99mm and weighs 169 grams.
