ChatGPT-creator OpenAI on Wednesday launched a new subscription plan for its wildly popular chatbot. The new subscription plan, ChatGPT Plus, will be available for USD 20 per month.
OpenAI said that ChatGPT Plus subscribers will get a number of benefits including general access to ChatGPT even during peak times, faster response times and priority access to new features and improvements.
The subscription plan has been launched in the US. “[..] we will begin the process of inviting people from our waitlist over the coming weeks. We plan to expand access and support to additional countries and regions soon,” OpenAI said in its blog.
Meanwhile, OpenAI has clarified that it will continue to offer free access to ChatGPT. The company has said that by offering the subscription, it will be able to help support free access availability to as many people as possible.
The company has said that it is also exploring options for lower-cost plans, business plans, and data packs for more availability.
The ChatGPT-maker also announced that it plans to refine and expand this offering based on user feedback and needs. In addition, the company will also be launching ChatGPT API waitlist.
