Specialty lubricants company Klüber Lubrication on Wednesday said it is investing Rs 142 crore to expand its manufacturing plant located in Mysore, Karnataka.
Currently spread over 17,000 sq. m, Klüber India’s manufacturing plant in Mysore already produces top-tier specialty lubricants. With this investment, Klüber Lubrication is looking to enhance its operations and capabilities.
The upgraded facility, expected to be fully operational by the beginning of 2027, will be equipped with cutting-edge technology tailored to Klüber's specialised requirements.
Part of the investment will be allocated towards obtaining new certifications, such as IATF for automotive customers and ISO 21469 for food-grade lubricants. Additionally, Klüber Lubrication plans to strengthen its research and development infrastructure, thereby accelerating the introduction of new products to the market.
By leveraging these enhancements, Klüber Lubrication said it aims to amplify its operations and streamline the relocation of global products to better serve its clientele.
In a statement, Hitendra Bhargava, CEO and Regional Management Board Member Asia Pacific at Klüber Lubrication, said, “By integrating a new production hall and world class infrastructure, we aim is to offer state-of-the-art speciality products which will be locally manufactured. Ultimately, this initiative is in sync with the self-reliance India mission (Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan) launched by the Government of India. This investment helps us to be closer and faster to our customers not just in India, but in the entire APAC region.”
