Code-named as Lunar Lake, Intel has officially introduced its new Core Ultra 200V series CPUs in India. The processors, which were unveiled at IFA Berlin, can now be pre-ordered on a number of popular e-commerce sites, such as Amazon, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales. On 24 September, general availability is scheduled to start.
The Intel Core Ultra 200V series is an important step forward in CPU technology, offering improved graphics capability, power efficiency and performance. More than 20 key manufacturers of laptops, including Acer, Asus, Dell Technologies, HP, Lenovo and MSI, will use these chips.
Intel's latest processors use the new Xe2 graphics architecture, which improves mobile graphics performance by 30 per cent on average. The integrated Intel Arc GPU has up to eight new 2nd Gen Xe-cores and eight upgraded ray tracing units, which can support up to three 4K monitors and advanced Intel Xe Matrix Extensions (Intel XMX) AI engines with up to 67 TOPS. This architecture attempts to improve both creative application and gaming performance.
"The latest processors are a game-changer, setting a new benchmark for AI and graphic performance," said Santhosh Viswanathan, Intel's Vice President and Managing Director for the India Region on the latest release.
Adding to this Gokul V Subramaniam, Intel India President and VP of the Client Computing Group said, "With the new NPU, we deliver approximately four times the performance of our previous generation, with up to 48 TOPS. Lunar Lake is our most power-efficient chipset, providing up to 20 hours of active and productive battery life."
Along with the hardware upgrades, beginning in November, all laptops running the newest Windows edition and equipped with Intel Core Ultra 200V processors will be eligible for a free upgrade to Copilot+ PC features.
