Infinix is expected to enter the tablet industry with the release of its first tablet, the Infinix XPAD. High-quality renderings and detailed specifications for the item have just leaked online.
According to exclusive renders published by Naija Android Arena, the Infinix XPAD has an 11-inch display with thin bezels on the edges. The tablet's design features a selfie camera on the side bezel for landscape mode. The volume rocker and power button are located on the tablet's right edge, while the rear panel features a brushed pattern design at the left corner. It also has a square camera module with two cameras and an LED flash. The XPAD is said to be a Wi-Fi-only gadget, thus it lacks a SIM card slot. However, the photographs do not corroborate the presence of a USB Type-C port or charging vents at the bottom also.
The Infinix XPAD is expected to come in three colours, namely- Frost Blue, Stellar Grey and Titan Gold. It will have an 11-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The tablet is said to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chipset, with 4GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB, which will be extendable. The XPAD will be both sleek and lightweight measuring 257.07 x 168.62 x 7.58 mm and weighing 496 grammes.
In terms of the camera, the Infinix XPAD has a 12MP primary camera with LED light and an 8MP secondary sensor on the back. The tablet is likely to be powered by a 7,000mAh battery that supports 18W wired fast charging. It will most likely run Android 14 with the Infinix XOS custom skin. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is expected to be included for enhanced security. The tablet may also include a 3.5mm audio connector and a USB Type-C charging port.
While exact pricing information is yet to be disclosed, the Infinix XPAD is expected to be priced below Rs 15,000 in India. If introduced in the market, the device will compete with the new Redmi Pad SE 4G, which starts at Rs 10,999 for the base model.
