I-T Dept Launches Mobile App To Avail Services For Taxpayers

The Income Tax department launched a mobile app, ‘AIS for Taxpayer’ to facilitate taxpayers to view their information available in the annual information statement (AIS) or taxpayer Information Summary (TIS), according to the statement.

“It aimed to provide a comprehensive view of the AIS and TIS to taxpayers, collected from various pertaining to the taxpayer and will also provide enhanced taxpayer service and ease of compliance,” the statement said.

The app provides free-of-cost service by the I-T department and is available on the Google play store and App store. 

Taxpayers can use this app to view their information relayed to the TDS or TCS, interests dividends, share transactions, tax payments, income tax refunds and other related information. The app also provides the facility of giving feedback to users. 

However, to access this app, users need to register on the app by giving their PAN number and authenticate by phone and e-mail id.
