HP has introduced HP Print AI, the industry's first intelligent print technology meant to improve printing efficiency. Unveiled at the HP Imagine event, the new technology seeks to address common printer setup and print quality issues, providing greater functionality for both home and office users. The first feature, called Perfect Output, is now accessible via an exclusive beta program and offers optimised print layouts for documents and spreadsheets.
This program tackles long-standing difficulties that users have when printing from online browsers, such as excessive white space, incorrect image scaling and unwanted adverts. With over half of print jobs coming from browsers, HP Print AI offers a streamlined and efficient printout by recognising and removing undesirable content. Along with the web content, HP Print AI aims to improve spreadsheet printing by resolving frequent issues such as tables and charts splitting across pages. It offers step-by-step instructions during setup and personalised support based on user preferences and previous interactions.
HP Scan AI Enhanced
HP has made HP Scan AI Enhanced, a tool that automatically identifies document types and extracts critical information, available to more commercial clients. The service, aimed at minimising manual activities, offers to cut expenses and boost efficiency, as proven by an 80 per cent drop in labour costs for an Italian retail firm that used the solution.
The company is also expanding AI into certain areas, such as architecture, engineering and construction. HP Build Workspace, a newly declared collaboration centre, allows experts in various industries to develop, organise and automate tasks like field reports, as well as use capabilities like AI vectorisation and site capture.
HP Print AI's Perfect Output function is now accessible to a restricted group of clients through an exclusive beta test, with broader availability projected by 2025. HP Build Workspace is now available in the United States and Europe, with plans for expansion into the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as a global rollout in Spring 2025. HP Scan AI Enhanced is now available in North America, most of Europe, Latin America and portions of Asia.
