Vivo Unveils V40e Smartphone
The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and has a 5500mAh battery
Vivo has introduced the V40e, the latest addition to its V-series portfolio, which claims the title of India's slimmest smartphone with a 5500mAh battery capacity. With a thickness of only 0.749 cm, the V40e combines a sleek design with a large battery capacity, intending to attract consumers looking for both elegance and longevity.
The V40e has a dual camera configuration that includes a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera. The main camera has a Sony IMX882 sensor, which improves low-light shooting by providing more information. The front-facing camera has a 50MP resolution and Eye-AF feature. The camera system also enables 4K video recording and incorporates tools like the AI Eraser and AI Photo Enhancer.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. The smartphone has a 5500mAh battery that supports 80W Flashcharge technology, enabling for rapid charging. Vivo, as claimed, has used heat-dissipation materials and many temperature sensors to ensure stable performance during heavy use.
The smartphone's display is a 6.77-inch curved panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, resulting in a screen-to-body ratio of 93.3 per cent. The display supports a cinema-grade DCI-P3 colour gamut, which intends to enhance colour accuracy for multimedia consumption. The audio experience is enhanced by a dual stereo speaker arrangement that strives to produce surround sound and powerful bass.
In terms of durability, the V40e is rated IP64 for dust and water resistance and contains Wet Touch technology, which offers better usability in wet environments. The gadget also uses a Comprehensive Cushioning Structure to absorb impact from drops, which is supplemented by Schott Up Glass for additional protection.
The V40e runs FunTouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14, and it offers a better user experience as well as extended software support, including three years of Android upgrades and four years of security fixes. The phone is offered in two colourways- Royal Bronze and Mint Green.
The phone will be available in two variants- 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for Rs 28,999 and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage for Rs 30,999.
