Asus has introduced AI-powered computing solutions using the latest Intel Core Ultra Series 2 CPUs. The new portfolio, includes the Zenbook S 14, ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI desktop and ExpertBook P5405.
These products feature integrated Neural Processing Units (NPU) capable of delivering up to 47 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second) to boost productivity, enhance user experience and expedite creative workflows. When Microsoft's Copilot+ PC experiences become available, the devices will also receive a free update, but the timeframe will vary by location and model.
The Zenbook S 14
The Zenbook S 14 is said to be a portable powerhouse that combines impressive performance with a sleek, long-lasting design. It is designed for users who require a device that blends mobility with powerful computing power. It is 1.1 centimetres thick and weighs 1.2 kilogrammes. The laptop lid is composed of Ceraluminum, a novel material that blends aluminium and ceramic, for enhancing durability while preserving a decent appearance. The Zenbook's cooling system has 2,715 CNC-machined vents in a geometric grille design, which enhances airflow and enables the device to work smoothly even during demanding tasks.
The device is powered by Intel's latest Core Ultra processors (Series 2), which provide up to 48 TOPS of AI-driven performance. It also works with ASUS's StoryCube app, which uses AI to streamline creative processes by categorising and managing digital content efficiently. The laptop also has a 3K ASUS Lumina OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which provides better images. The display is Pantone verified and TÜV Rheinland certified for eye care, offering extended usage. The Zenbook boasts varied connectivity, including Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectors, as well as a 72Wh battery for extended use.
The Asus ExpertBook P5405
The Asus ExpertBook P5405 is intended at small businesses and includes a number of AI-powered features designed to enhance productivity. It features the most recent Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2) and Asus' AI ExpertMeet capabilities, which offer AI-powered transcription, translation, subtitles and meeting summaries. This laptop is built for both performance and security, with a multi-layered security architecture that incorporates Secure Boot and a Trusted Platform Module (TPM).
The ExpertBook P5405’s battery life can last up to 28 hours of video. This makes it a stable gadget for long work hours that don't require regular recharges. Asus has also incorporated sustainability in this product, using recycled materials like industrial aluminium and post-consumer steel in its manufacturing. The gadget also includes a discrete fingerprint sensor and an IR webcam for secure authentication.
The Asus NUC 14 Pro AI
The Asus NUC 14 Pro AI is a small-form factor desktop solution built for professional environments that require AI capabilities and high-performance computing. Housed in a 0.6-liter chassis with a height of 34 millimetres, the NUC 14 Pro AI incorporates the latest Intel Core Ultra CPUs (Series 2), giving up to 115 total platform TOPS, including 47 TOPS from its NPU. This desktop solution is said to be suitable for office contexts or edge computing, since it has a mix of portability and performance.
The gadget incorporates security features including fingerprint recognition, Secure Boot and a Trusted Platform Module (TPM), which secure sensitive data. The NUC has multiple connectivity choices, including Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB 3.2 Gen 1 and Wi-Fi 7. The NUC 14 Pro AI, which includes built-in speakers and microphones, also supports voice commands, for users who want hands-free control.
The Zenbook S 14 starts at Rs 1,42,990 and the Asus NUC 14 Pro AI will be available in December 2024. The ExpertBook P5405 will go on sale in November 2024 through Asus' partner network.
