Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched its latest smartphone Honor V10 in China. Honor V10 will go on sale in Chinese market from 5 December and will soon debut in other markets. The phone comes in four colours- gold, aurora gold, blue, and red. Pricing of Honor V10 ranges between CNY 2699 (roughly Rs 26,300) and CNY 3499 (roughly Rs 34,250). Honor V10 is the company's answer to OnePlus 5T which also features similar specifications.
Honor V10 runs on EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. It is powered by Huawei’s 2.36GHz Kirin 970 processor which also powers Huawei Mate 10. It comes in three RAM+Storage variants of either 4GB or 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB+128GB.
The storage in all variants is expandable up to 256GB through hybrid dual-SIM configuration where second SIM slot doubles as a MicroSD card holder.
It features a 5.99-inch full HD+ (2160x1080) IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It sports dual rear camera setup of 16-megapixel RGB sensor and 20-megapixel monochrome sensor with PDAF and LED flash. On the front is a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
The dual-SIM Honor V10 is backed by a 3750mAh battery which the company claims give 23 hours of talktime. This phone also comes with face unlock feature with which you can unlock the device. There is also a front-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Huawei is also working on depth sensing camera which works like Apple’s Face ID and also has the Animoji feature. In the near future, Huawei phones will be coming with this feature.
Connectivity options are- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio-jack, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and 4G VoLTE. It measures 157 x 74.98 x 6.97mm and weighs 172 grams.
