The bullet wireless, OnePlus’ first pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones, offer a flexible neck ring design, and sits comfortably around your neck without dangling excessively. With support for the high resolution aptX audio codec, the earphones sound significantly better, albeit a bit treble happy, when paired with an Android device, though they work perfectly well with an iPhone as well. If you have a recent OnePlus device, a bonus pause/resume feature when you magnetically join/separate the earphones is a nice touch. Battery life is an adequate eight hours, and there’s extra-fast Dash Charging to juice them up in a jiffy. The design is generic looking, but the soft, silicon coating is tangle-resistant, and the Bullets Wireless’ sweat and water resistance allow use in the gym and out in the rain. High quality stuff, for a price far lower than what you would expect. 

The Swedish audio brand Jays may not be a common household name, but their a-six wireless is a capable entrant in the rapidly crowding wireless neckbud-style earphones segment. Crafted from premium metals, the earphones are connected to each other by the flat-noodle wire that is typical to Jays audio products. The design is simple yet classy, with the only downside being a battery unit which sits on your neck and has the tendency to sway a fair bit if you’re active. Well, at least the a-Six delivers a strong 12-hour battery life and solid wireless connectivity with the connected smartphone. Sonic output favors the lows over crisp, bright highs, but the sound is solid overall and will please most ears, with no distortion even if you crank up the volume. A good pick for those who like to kick back and enjoy their music, less so for the fitness buffs at the gym.

Sennheiser’s Momentum series have been a benchmark in consumer audio for the past five years, and the latest to the range is the MOMENTUM FREE, a neckband-style pair of wireless earphones. The design is sturdy and uncomplicated – a short cable runs between the earphones and you can adjust the length using the slider to run it behind your neck or under your chin. The magnetic play/pause feature that we saw in the OnePlus works well here as well. At 40 grams, they are incredibly light to wear for extended durations, but you should try one out for size since many have reported that the earphones fall out easily due to issues with the fit of the earbuds. That said, they deliver solidly on sonic quality, with impressive clarity and detail, making some of the competition almost sound muddied in comparison.
