Samsung has launched their high-end smartphone Galaxy Note 9 which is big on display, battery and performance. In September Apple will also launch new iPhone models which is based on iOS but stories about another high-end Android phone are brewing up and that’s Pixel 3 XL.
Google launched both first and second gen Pixel phones on October 4. We believe Google won’t break the trend this year too and will unveil the Pixel 3 line up on same date.
A Russian blogger has posted several photos of a Pixel 3XL which were spotted by Android Police. Google has also opted to go with the notch design with their third gen Pixel device. The handset has a fat notch at the top and a thick chin with front firing loudspeaker just like Pixel 2XL.
Pixel 3 XL Specifications
Talking about specs, Pixel phones of 2018 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor (4x1.77GHz and 4x2.80GHz) coupled with Adreno 630 GPU and 4GB of RAM. Most important of them all is Android Pie, third gen Pixel phones will run on Android P out-of-the-box.
The leaked image also reveals screen resolution of 2960 x 1440 with pixel density of 494 ppi. Taking a closer look at the notch, you’ll observe two front facing cameras. Either of one could also be a face recognizing sensor for face unlock feature or both of them could be cameras for taking better Portrait/Wide-angle selfies.
Talking about the rear camera, Pixel 3 XL will get a single camera which is not bad at all as we all know what Pixel 2’s rear camera was capable of with its machine learning prowess.
The images also suggests that Pixel phones could be shipped with Google’s headphones- Pixel Buds, USB Type-C cable, USB adapter, 3.5mm headphone jack adapter. This year’s Pixel XL is also said to get glass body with support for wireless charging.
