Google is mulling changes in Play Store to enable its users to engage and discover high-quality games and applications. According to a post on developers blog, Google is set to introduce three main updates to the store where there will be alerts for low-quality apps, device specific ratings and reviews and promotability and ranking changes.
The company said that it has a holistic set of features that serves differentiated requirements. It will also be updating, featuring and ranking logic play on large screen devices to prioritise high quality.
Investment in editorial content across play will be deepened and users will also be able to view ratings and reviews split by device type in order to help people make decisions better about the apps that are right for the device.
