Google Home, Home Mini Smart Speakers Prices Reduced On Flipkart

Google’s smart speakers Google Home and Home Mini have received a price cut in India for limited period. The smart speakers are available on Flipkart and at 750 other retail stores across India including Reliance Digital, Croma, Bajaj Electronics, Vijay Sales, Sangeetha, and Poorvika.

To recall Google Home was launched earlier this year at Rs 9,999 and Home Mini at Rs 4,499 in India. On Flipkart, Google Home has received a price cut of Rs 1,500 and now available at Rs 8,499. On the other hand the smaller speaker Google Home Mini’s price are slashed by Rs 800, it is now available at Rs 3,699.

Flipkart is also offering attractive offers to lure the customers into buying the smart speakers. The offers include 10 percent cashback on HDFC debit & credit cards, Rs 1,000 off on the purchase of two or more Google speakers, Axis Bank Buzz credit card holders will also get a 5 percent instant discount.

The price slash comes in the wake of Amazon Echo price cuts which also happened earlier this month. Amazon Echo speaker launched at Rs 9,999, now costs Rs 8,999, while the smaller Echo Dot was launched at Rs 4,499 but now costs Rs 4,099.

Both Google Home and Amazon Echo are voice-controlled speakers, Home is backed by Google Assistant and Echo by Amazon’s Alexa. You can give them certain commands like play music, read the news, set timers and alarms, check the calendar, provide sports scores, control lights at home, and much more.
