Gigabyte Technology Unveils Latest AMD X870E/X870 Motherboards

Gigabyte Technology has declared the release of its latest AMD X870E/X870 motherboards, designed to optimise the performance of AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors. These motherboards feature AI-accelerated performance boosts, next-generation memory optimisation, advanced thermal management and a user-friendly BIOS interface. The inclusion of AORUS AI SNATCH technology enables users to enhance system and memory performance with a single click. The AI engine also allows for processor overclocking, enhancing performance while maintaining power efficiency.

The X870E/X870 motherboards support DDR5 memory with speeds up to 8600MT/s. The boards incorporate a power design with up to 20 power phases and 110A Smart Power Stages (SPS), along with 8-layer server-grade PCBs to provide stable overclocking and high-performance gaming. The motherboards are equipped with Gigabyte’s DDR Wind Blade cooling system and a vented back panel, which, together with comprehensive VRM and M.2 thermal solutions, offer efficient heat dissipation during high-intensity tasks.

These motherboards also feature user-friendly designs aimed at simplifying installation and maintenance. The M.2 EZ-Match design uses a magnetic attachment system for easy heatsink reattachment, while the WIFI EZ-Plug design integrates the Wi-Fi antenna connections into a single adapter for easier installation. An EZ-Debug Zone centralizes diagnostic LEDs and control buttons, improving the troubleshooting process. PCIe EZ-Latch Plus technology allows for screwless installation of PCIe graphics cards, and M.2 EZ-Latch Click and M.2 EZ-Latch Plus enable tool-free installation of M.2 SSDs and heatsinks.

The UC BIOS interface has been updated with a redesigned user interface that provides more intuitive performance adjustment features. The BIOS now includes a Multi-theme design that allows users to switch between different themes, including a new grayscale theme. The AIO Fan Control feature lets users adjust fan speeds directly in the BIOS before booting into the operating system. Gigabyte’s collaboration with HWiNFO enhances monitoring capabilities, offering real-time CPU power phase tracking and an OSD display that can show system information even during full-screen applications.

In terms of connectivity, the X870E/X870 motherboards come equipped with PCIe 5.0 storage support, dual USB4 Type-C ports with transfer speeds of up to 40 Gbps and Wi-Fi 7 technology with a GIGABYTE ultra-high gain antenna. These features offer high-speed file transfers, support for ultra-HD displays and enhanced VR experiences. The inclusion of USB4 ensures compatibility with a wide range of devices, offering efficient charging, data transfer and display output for data-heavy tasks such as video editing and large file transfers.
