Twitter's Ex-CEO Jack Dorsey has ended his time at the social media company.
Dorsey had begun distancing himself from the social media platform he co-founded, leaving Twitter’s chief executive role late last year to focus on Block, formerly known as Square. At the time of resignation, Dorsey had said that founders leading tech firms is "severely limiting and a single point of failure".
The plan for Dorsey to leave the board has been in place since he stepped down as CEO. The company noted that Dorsey would stay on the board “until his term expires at the 2022 meeting of stockholders.”
Meanwhile, at Wednesday’s shareholder meeting, Twitter’s board voted to oust board member and Elon Musk's ally Egon Durban, CEO of private equity firm Silver Lake.
