Dell Technologies has officially released the new XPS 13 in India, equipped with Intel's Core Ultra Series Processors Series 2 and a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of delivering up to 48 TOPS. This laptop aims to enhance productivity and performance for users, particularly in creative and professional environments.
The XPS 13 is powered by the Intel AI Boost NPU, which enables AI-driven functionalities such as Microsoft Studio Effects during video calls. It supports Copilot+ PC experiences when available, offering smoother multitasking. The inclusion of Intel Arc Graphics further elevates performance, performing up to 3.1 times better than its predecessor.
For display, the laptop features a 13.4-inch InfinityEdge OLED screen that utilises tandem OLED technology for higher brightness while reducing power consumption. This display offers true black and vivid color contrast, enhanced by Dolby Vision and Eyesafe technology, which minimises eye strain. The XPS 13 also supports a 120Hz variable refresh rate, offering smooth performance and extended battery life during usage.
In terms of portability, the XPS 13 weighs just 1.2 kg and measures 14.8 mm in thickness, making it Dell’s thinnest and most portable XPS laptop to date. It includes Wi-Fi 7 capabilities, offering up to 4.8 times faster throughput for connectivity during file sharing, video calls and online collaboration.
The laptop's design incorporates materials including CNC-machined aluminum and Gorilla Glass 3. Dell emphasises sustainability, with the XPS 13 crafted from at least 20 per cent recycled materials and a combination of recycled and low-emission aluminum, which reduces the overall carbon footprint. It holds ENERGY STAR certification and EPEAT Gold registration, enhanced with the Climate+ designation. The laptop also ships in packaging made from 100 per cent recycled or renewable content that is fully recyclable.
The new XPS 13 will be available for purchase starting 16 October, 2024, with a starting price of Rs 1,81,990.
