Today, sourcing good land in Alibaug has become extremely challenging. The farmers and landowners are well aware of the boom in prices. Besides, there are now hundreds of brokers, all trying to sell land & make a quick buck with some brokers having no clue.

Many famers rely on local brokers or middlemen to help them sell to clients. In many cases the documentation is incomplete. Frankly, there is very little clarity with these middlemen & absolutely zero accountability. He added, “I am always selective & I prefer to be handed on, hence I either deal directly with farmers, or I sell land actually owned by a developer such as Samira Habitats.
