Acer has added two new 27-inch gaming monitors to its Predator lineup which are The Predator XB273U F5 and Predator XB273K V5.
The Predator XB273U F5 has a WQHD (2560x1440) resolution panel and a refresh rate of 360 Hz, which includes NVIDIA's G-SYNC Pulsar technology. This configuration improves motion clarity and allows for varied refresh rates, which eliminates screen tearing.
The monitor also covers 90 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, supports HDR and has a peak brightness of 550 nits, resulting in improved colour accuracy and lifelike images. The monitor's rapid response time of up to 0.5 ms (GTG) helps to eliminate motion blur in high-paced gaming scenarios. The unit has two HDMI 2.1 connectors, one DisplayPort 1.4 and ergonomic adjustments for tilt and swivel.
The Predator XB273K V5 has a 4K UHD (3840x2160) resolution and a refresh rate of 160 Hz, which is enabled by AMD FreeSync Premium technology. Gamers can use Dynamic Frequency and Resolution (DFR) technology to switch to an FHD resolution with a 320 Hz refresh rate, providing more versatility.
The display features a contrast ratio of 100,000,000:1, which allows for the depiction of deep blacks and whites. It also provides up to 400 nits of brightness and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified for increased image luminosity. This model, like the XB273U F5, supports a 95 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut and 1.07 billion colours.
Both monitors feature IPS screens with wide 178-degree viewing angles and rapid response speeds of 0.5 ms (GTG). The connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port. Both monitors include ergonomic capabilities that allow you to adjust the tilt, swivel, pivot and height for a more personalised viewing experience.
Both versions are intended to accommodate next-generation gaming gear and have technologies like as G-SYNC and FreeSync for adaptive sync technology.
